The master of the paper: Emeric Thibierge

Between the linen and the cotton the paper creator twirls in the middle of his multiple paper creations!

CROMATICO is the name of the paper created by the master of the paper Emeric Thibierge. This was used for the invitation printed on the Taj Mahal revisited for the occasion by the graphic designer Anna Marchlewska and in support of the press kit witness of the evening of February 11 which was distributed on this occasion . CROMATICO is a range of paper and envelopes tracing color inspired by glassblowers. The entire press kit was made of ORLON paper. A postcard and a bookmark were also created for the occasion!Emeric Thivierge: « What was my wonder to hear one day, a little girl wearing the pretty name of Victoire say to his mom: » Isaure is lucky, his dad does the best job in the world: he draw beautiful papers. « I was amazed by so much enchantment.Creating a paper is just an irrational burst of unexpected intuitions. But the revealers are hours of doubt and questioning. Will the dream paper be beautiful? Will the chosen technique produce the sublime result? Will it be able to support the most daring creations? Creating a paper is a fight against vulgarity. It takes a lot of determination to face the pains of the paper industry. Finally, a love of detail and perfection never reached, a quest for frustrating excellence acting as a driving force. « .

The calligrapher: Stéphane Trillaud

All invitations to the launch party « De poudre, de Cendre et d’Or » have been calligraphed by a master calligrapher, Stéphane Trillaud. Captivated by the alchemy of colors and textures, he spent his Wednesday mornings at the age of 7 at the school of decorative arts in Blois until 13 years. More attracted by lettering, logos and graphics, he abandoned the gurative design to devote himself to the study of signs and symbols.

Catched up by his taste for writing, he gradually turned to Latin calligraphy at the end of the nineties for his personal pleasure first, then he trained as a master calligrapher. He has been teaching for 3 years and starts his own business in 2013.

The Designer: Anna Marchlewska

On the occasion of the launch party of Gwendoline Finaz de Villaine’s book, Anna realized the graphic chart inspired by the cover of the novel « De Poudre, Cendre et d’Or ». A postcard of the Maharadjah board and a bookmark have been created for the occasion!
