"Le Secret des Conteuses" by Martine Amsili at the Théâtre Déjazet
In 2019, the association quatre couleurs was lucky enough to follow and participate in the creation of the magnificent play "Le secret des conteuses" at the Théâtre Déjazet.
This play reflects the know-how of our craftsmen: costumes, perfumes, accessories, jewellery, paper, scenery, everything has been made with the help of talented French craftsmen
"The secret of the storytellers is a comedy set against the background of French history and the Sun King. It is 1671 in the salon of Ninon de Lenclos at 36 rue des Tournelles in Paris, where all the beautiful society of the time was gathered. This day is unlike any other and brings together only the most feminine, the most literate and the most celebrated in the world. Ninon de Lenclos chose the great eloquence of some great Ladies for a little game of her own composition entitled: LE SECRET DES CONTEUSES.
Using a secret, each galante freely displays her verve, reveals a clandestine love, brings to life a night in the alcove, and finally reveals a hidden passion into which she would have thrown herself headlong, and whose man's name could not be made known until all had spoken. Engaging in the art of conversation and evoking a lover unknown to the court and their entourage, this is the heart of the matter! It is a question of heart and mind, of inclination and ardour where reason has no place, where the brio of their discourse has no equal!

Le secret des conteuses is a comedy based on the history of France during the reign of the Roi Soleil. We are in 1671 in the salon of Ninon de Lenclos at 36 rue des Tournelles in Paris, where all the beautiful society of the time met.
