The Busser bookshop is a story of beautiful encounters. First of all, Laure and Éric at lycée, with their passion for literature and theatre. Then there was the story of antiquarian bookshops. It was Éric who took the plunge first, after completing a course specialising in the book trade and working as a bibliographer for one of the world's greatest booksellers, Pierre Berès. Laure quickly followed suit, becoming a bibliographer in her own right in a number of well-known bookshops.

In 2003, Éric took the plunge and set up Librairie Busser, which at the time consisted of a small rack of selected books housed in the family's living room. As time went by, the bookshop blossomed, and Éric gave pride of place to the appraisal business he carried out for auction houses, until he moved to Paris. So it was in the heart of the Latin Quarter, on rue Monge, that Éric and Laure, who now joins him in his business, decided to open their bookshop in 2014. It's a place they wanted to be warm and passionate, conducive to encounters! That's why, in the midst of rare and precious books, it's not unusual to discover various artistic favourites of the owners... drawings, photographs...
