Alexandre Mehring, the image magician
Alexandre Mehring was responsible for the artistic direction of the MASQUES exhibition. His directorial eye gave the scenography a very contemporary and playful dimension, thus allowing an artistic transversality between theatre and cinema.
He is the son of the artist GRILLON and the director WOLFRAM MEHRING. He also wanted to pay tribute to his mother's creations with the exhibition. After obtaining his literary baccalaureate, Alexandre Mehring left the academic circuit to devote all his energy to cinema. Passionate about images, editing and directing, he quickly became a self-taught filmmaker. After writing, directing and producing his first short film (Tricycle) at the age of 23, he was selected for numerous festivals and quickly attracted the attention of advertising production companies.
Over the next fifteen years, Alexandre wrote and produced other short films (A deux sur la comète, La vraie nature, Made in Taiwan), which were selected and awarded in festivals around the world. At the same time, Alexandre began a career as a director in the world of advertising and directed around 150 films for the French and international markets. He also works on the production of short films for other directors. In 2011, Alexandre wrote and directed a medium-length film (Voûte Plantaire), under the name of his new production company, Bacon Brothers Prod.
He is currently developing a feature film, "SOUS LES PAVÉS" and is preparing his eighth short film "AU REVOIR VICTOR".
