The Swedish choreographer Mats Ek's final programme of the season at the Palais Garnier was full of emotion! Throughout the show, "the dance makes you see the music"! His Boléro plays on the absurd and the light-hearted, and can be savoured as such! But it's above all Carmen's entry into the repertoire that's most memorable. Created in 1992, this ballet has lost none of its force or its modernity, giving the audience a lesson in Mats-Ekian dance. Throughout the first part, Amandine Albisson gives us a breathtaking Carmen dancing to an atypical rhythm... grands pliés seconde, extended legs and flexed feet, raw and virtuoso movements. Surrounded by dancers in fluorescent lamé dresses holding giant fans, Amandine Albisson radiates drama and sensuality!
L'Étoile Amandine offers us a mysterious, romantic and intriguing Carmen... Each of her outfits is a pure marvel! All made in the workshops of the Garnier Opera House!
It was the dress with the red flounced train that particularly caught the eye, as it showcased all the expertise of the workshops, as well as the exemplary technical skills of the star, to give the impression of flying away in total lightness, even though the dress weighed several kilos... Well done!

Amandine Albisson: sublime in Mats eEk's Carmen
Great emotions during the last program of the season of the Swedish choreographer MatsEk at the Palais Garnier! Throughout the show " the dance shows the music " ! His Bolero plays on the absurd and the lightness, he savors himself as such! But it is especially the entry to the repertoire of Carmen that we remember. Created in 1992, this ballet has lost none of its strength or modernity and gives the spectator a lesson in Matte-Ekian dance. Throughout the first part, Amandine Albisson offers us a breathtaking Carmen dancing to an atypical rhythm...big bends second, legs in extensions and feet flex, gross and virtuoso movements. Surrounded by dancers in fluorescent lamé dresses holding giant fans, Amandine Albisson, on the other hand, radiates, dramatic and sensual !
The Amandine Star offers us a mysterious, romantic, and intriguing Carmen...Each of her outfits is a pure wonder ! All are made in the workshops of the Garnier opera !
It is the dress with the red ruffled train that particularly caught the attention, because it highlights all the know-how of the workshops but also the exemplary technicality of the star to give the impression of flying away in all lightness while the dress weighs several kilos... Bravo!
