The Cheutin family has been established in the Champagne region for 5 generations. Alfred was already cultivating the vines in 1927, before his son Jean took over. He in turn passed on his knowledge and passion to his son Serge, who began selling champagne in 1973. His daughter Rachel and granddaughter Alyssa now look after the business. They strive to preserve the spirit of a traditional family business.
SITUATION : The estate is located in the heart of the Marne Valley in a small village 20 km from Epernay, the capital of the Champagne region. They cultivate the three classic Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Meunier brings roundness and balance, Pinot Noir structure, robustness and fruitiness and Chardonnay (white grape) finesse, acidity and elegance. The grapes are picked by hand in order to respect the constraints of a particular vinification process. Indeed, the bunches of grapes must arrive whole and intact on the press.
