For the creation of the play "Le secret des conteuses", some of the armchairs and dresses were made using fabrics from the Charles Burger textile house.
For more than 150 years, Charles Burger has had a wealth of archives and special expertise in the publication of designs covering the period from Louis XIII to Louis XVIII. As a living witness to these great pages in the history of French textiles, Charles Burger reproduces, from generation to generation, old documents carefully selected from its own archives. Maison Charles Burger is one of the last two publishers to hold Mr Oberkampf's copper rolls. It holds 14 original rolls in perfect working order.
This unique French heritage is carefully preserved. The company re-issues fabrics from the Manufacture de Jouy-En-Josas, respecting the original dimensions and designs in order to retain all their excellence.
