A For the 'De Poudre, de Cendre et d'Or' evening, Xavier has recorded a reading to accompany the novel by Gwendoline Finaz de Villaine. Xavier Lafitte is a talented artist, equally at home as an actor, dancer, painter and musician, and he excels in each of these stylistic exercises!
From an early age, Xavier Lafitte practised dance, music and drawing. After graduating from business school in 1996, he held a number of positions in companies before devoting himself to his life as an artist, becoming an actor in particular. At the same time, he has produced several series of collages and drawings over the last twenty years. It was in 2014 that he brought his most emblematic work to fruition: the "Calendrier du monde sauvage".
At the time of the "march of the century", Xavier is very committed to his art and raises awareness of climate change through his calendars of the wild world which deal with the migratory movements of animals.
Xavier Lafitte made his acting debut in Moïsés Kaufman's play "Outrage aux moeurs, les trois procès d'Oscar Wilde" (1999), in the role of Lord Alfred Douglas. He made his film debut in François Armanet's "La bande du Drugstore" (2001), before starring in Patrice Chéreau's "Gabrielle" (2005).
After several television and film appearances, Xavier was chosen by Spanish director José Luis Guerin to play the central character in "En la ciudad de Sylvia" (2007) alongside Pilar Lopez de Ayala. The film, selected in competition at the Venice Film Festival, received worldwide critical acclaim. Xavier's other stage roles have been acclaimed by the press, including the role of the black mailer in "Le facteur sonne toujours deux fois" (2009), and the witty Marquis de Bassompierre in "Henri IV, le bien aimé" (2010/2012) alongside Jean-François Balmer, msc Daniel Colas.
After several films and series shot in Spain, 2014 marked Xavier's return to French cinema with the role of Jacques de Bascher in Jalil Lespert's hugely popular "Yves Saint Laurent" (2014), starring Pierre Niney and Guillaume Galienne. Xavier then starred in Robin Maugham's play "The Servant", in the lead role of Tony Williams, which was a great success with the public (2015-17), and played Father Luc in the Arte series "Transferts" (2017) (on Net ix today). In n, the release of Antoine Blossier's lm "Rémi sans famille" (out Dec. 2018) gave Xavier the role of Vitalis's doctor (Daniel Auteuil) in the adaptation of Hector Malot's novel.
