Last stop for "Des vies dansent": Colombia

The association 4 couleurs supported the documentary project of the Evi collective, which went to meet four groups of child dancers from four different continents, all united by the same passion: dance. More than a documentary, "Des vies dansent" is an ode to sharing and mixing cultures.

France ❤️, Colombia 💚, India 💙 and Senegal 💛 were given a thematic colour which is reflected in the colours of the film. Countries, cultures and elements blend together.

Question "What do you remember about the Colombian experience?

Nina Barbé: "In Colombia you fall in love while dancing, meeting is an art of living. We were in the city of Cali with children who were following a sports study programme. What impressed us a lot was the link between the classic school programme (geography, history, mathematics, literature, etc.) and art, which is totally integrated into education. The National Conservatory of Colombia was involved in mixing art and education. They learned their choreography under the trees, outdoors, the connection between the earth and the environment is obvious, the children were interested in it from a very young age. They were extremely alert and aware of their environment, especially about deforestation, which is part of their daily lives.

The Association 4 couleurs was happy to support the documentary project of Nina Barbé, Leila Macaire and her team by offering each child a silk stole woven, dyed and embroidered in France in Reims.

We would like to thank Sublim'Brodeur, a company specialised in embroidery, which offers its customers dedicated know-how in the field of textile marking. Sublim'Brodeurs offers different types of embroidery, flocking, screen printing and sublimation. Congratulations to Antoine, Xavier and his team for bringing embroidery work up to date, combining tradition and technology.

Beyond the ambition of the documentary "lives are dancing", it is in line with the very origin of the initial values of the association where the symbolism of the colours purple, jade, indigo and saffron are emblematic.

Today, more than ever, let's share! ❤️💚💙💛
