VERNISSAGE CARNET DE VISAGE X ESPACE CHAMBERLAN

The association Quatre couleurs is a space dedicated to craftspeople and artists, the Chamberlan gallery space hosts the launch of the art book " Booklet of Face "and its exhibition from woodcuts. Jika is an innovative artist who is open to the world and whose portraits offer vision of humanity.

THE ASSOCIATION QUATRE COULEURS JOINS FORCES WITH PRINTEMPS FLEURIAU TO PRESENT THE ARTIST JIKA

Le Printemps Fleuriau is the festival of the art galleries of the Rochelle. It was created to celebrate art, artists and artisans each year on Ascension Day, rue Fleuriau. La MINI Galerie, La Galerie Julie Bazin and La Galerie Fleuriau are the founding galleries of this festival. The first edition in 2019 confirmed their idea that art needed to find a place in La Rochelle, especially in the city centre, a place of life and animation that is essential for the people of La Rochelle. In view of the success of this first edition and the impact on the other actors of the city, we wanted to reinforce our actions and our visibility by creating the eponymous association: The Printemps Fleuriau Association.

The mission of the Printemps Fleuriau is to invite the passer-by to art, to submit to him, under his gaze, graphic and sound elements, intallations that could challenge him, make him feel emotions, open his eyes to art whatever it is; in short, to "shake up" his daily decor. In this sense, Printemps wants to welcome artists, known or unknown, with a certain degree of requirement and relevance. To propose artists who have a message with meaning but also often in resonance with the history of the rue Fleuriau.

This year, the Printemps Fleuriau association is joining forces with the association Quatre Couleurs, editor of the book "Face Book"by the artist Jikato celebrate Printemps Fleuriau. The presentation of the book "Carnet de Visage", which will take place at the Galerie du Printemps, will be surrounded by a exhibition of woodcuts; portraits from the book. A fresco of faces will animate the walls of the street.

CLOISTER OF THE WHITE LADIES

After an exhibition in Paris at Chamberlan and at the printemps Fleuriau in 2021, Jika returns to the Cloître des Dames Blanches from 22 June to 22 September 2022 with a large-format installation in partnership with La Rochelle Town Hall.

The Carnet de Visage exhibition will also be on show at the Galerie Aliénor Prouvost in Brussels in November and December 2022.

LE 55" GALLERY IN THE EYROLLES BOOKSHOP

For the release of its second art book, "Carnet de Visage", in November 2023, the association has decided to exhibit Jeremy's book in the 'le 55' gallery of the famous Eyrolles bookshop. The gallery, which is adjacent to the bookshop, showcases art books and the works that animate them. On this occasion, black and white and illuminated wood engravings were exhibited as well as 3 large formats on dibond.

SPRING GALLERY

When covid 19 comes out in March 2021, Jeremy Kapone was the guest at the printemps Fleuriau in La Rochelle, directed by Bérengère Auvergnat and Julie Bazin. It was only natural that the Quatre Couleurs association chose to return to the Printemps gallery on 15 rue Fleuriau, for the release of 'Carnet de Visage' volume 2.
