Géraldine or the mysteries of bookbinding

Geraldine Venant Mouroux is a bookbinder and restorer of old books. She has been practising her art independently since 2005.

His training is based on a double curriculum: university art history and technical bookbinding and restoration. On the occasion of the "Powder, Ash and Gold" evening. Géraldine made the book jacket in inlaid leather covered with gold leaf. She started with raw leather, which she then cut, patinated and assembled to finally cover it with gold leaf.

Her recognised know-how as a master of art allowed all the guests to appreciate the delicacy and beauty of this ancestral know-how! A big thank you to this great lady of bookbinding!
