HAIR SCULPTOR AND A DESIGNER OF MEN'S ACCESSORIES

Robert Kerr at the Maison Séguier

A LOVE AFFAIR BETWEEN A HAIR SCULPTOR AND A MEN'S ACCESSORY DESIGNER

It is the art of a small thing that changes everything, with no other use than to favour the precaution of the look and the touch. Every man is the craftsman of his own life and feels alive only when he transmits his passion in order to share his emotions. Quatre Couleurs is pleased to be associated with the presentation of Robert Kerr at the Maison Seguier.

In 2013, Thomas Drischel left his position as director at Galeries Lafayette to fulfil a childhood dream: to bring his personal touch to men's and women's silhouettes by relaunching the business of his grandfather, a master tailor in London in the 1950s. The latter passed on his passion for style and precious craftsmanship to his grandson without imagining that he would create the eponymous Robert Kerr brand dedicated to exceptional accessories (scarves, hats, scarves, ties, clutches) half a century later, proving that luxury and elegance rhyme with authenticity, passion and tradition. For his part, Matthieu Séguier wanted to create a unique, confidential and elegant salon. He wanted to create a hushed and intimate atmosphere, a precious and calm setting to offer maximum comfort. A pleasant place where armchairs designed by Starck are set against mahogany consoles, where books on fashion art rub shoulders with those on urban art and architecture, where Tiffany lamps play with their colours while Sylvia Von Harden, painted by Otto Dix, welcomes you while smoking her eternal cigarette...

Matthieu Séguier, this man in a three-piece suit, with a neat beard, always has a smile on his face, he likes to welcome people and make them feel good! Matthieu is a passionate person who defines himself first as a craftsman before being an artist. He possesses the rare gift of seeing right, of seizing the essential in an instant, of perceiving your assets and of highlighting them. It is his love of silk that led him to be sensitive to the world of Robert Kerr accessories.

On 13 December 2018 the new Séguier house will host the presentation of the Robert Kerr collections in its salon. In this atypical place, a space located between the art gallery and the boudoir.

Wouldn't it be gratifying to allow ourselves a concentrated pleasure in these festive times, a reward that we would personally give ourselves? On display at Le Bon Marché in the men's world basement until December 31
