Robert Kerr at the Maison Séguier

A LOVE AFFAIR BETWEEN A HAIR SCULPTOR AND A MEN'S ACCESSORY DESIGNER

It's the art of a little that changes everything, for no other purpose than to encourage the precaution of the eye and the touch. Every human being is the architect of his own life, and only when he passes on his passion and shares his emotions does he feel alive.

Quatre Couleurs is delighted to be associated with Robert Kerr's presentation at Maison Seguier.

In 2013, Thomas Drischel left his position as director of Galeries Lafayette to fulfil a childhood dream: to bring his personal touch to men's and women's silhouettes by relaunching the business of his grandfather, a master tailor in London in the 1950s. The latter passed on his passion for style and precious craftsmanship to his grandson, unaware that half a century later he would create the eponymous Robert Kerr brand dedicated to exceptional accessories (scarves, hats, scarves, ties, clutches), proving that luxury and elegance go hand in hand with authenticity, passion and tradition. For his part, Matthieu Séguier wanted to create a unique, confidential and elegant salon. He wanted to create a hushed, intimate atmosphere, a precious, calm setting offering maximum comfort. A pleasant place where armchairs designed by Starck sit alongside mahogany consoles, where books on the arts of fashion rub shoulders with those on the urban arts and architecture, where Tiffany lamps play with their colours while Sylvia Von Harden, painted by Otto Dix, welcomes you while smoking her eternal cigarette...

Matthieu Séguier, this man in a three-piece suit, with a neat beard, always has a smile on his face, he likes to welcome people and make them feel good! Matthieu is a passionate person who defines himself first as a craftsman before being an artist. He possesses the rare gift of seeing right, of seizing the essential in an instant, of perceiving your assets and of highlighting them. It is his love of silk that led him to be sensitive to the world of Robert Kerr accessories.

On 13 December 2018 the new Séguier house will host the presentation of the Robert Kerr collections in its salon. In this atypical place, a space located between the art gallery and the boudoir.

Wouldn't it be gratifying to allow ourselves a concentrated pleasure in these festive times, a reward that we would personally give ourselves? On display at Le Bon Marché in the men's world basement until December 31
