Launch of "Carnet de Visage" volume 2 at the Eyrolles bookshop

To mark the release of volume 2 of Jika's "Carnet de Visage", an exhibition of works from the art book was held at the "le 55" gallery in the Eyrolles bookshop from 3 to 18 November 2023.

This book is a veritable logbook, accompanying the artist on all his travels. He fills it in as he travels and meets new people, and the portraits are taken in the moment, during a conversation, to capture the spirit and the story of the person. Jika is back this time with a collection of 116 portraits taken over 3 years, from 2020 to 2023.

For the publication of his art book, Jika has selected around twenty portraits from "Carnet de Visage", which he has reinterpreted using woodcut techniques. in black and white and illuminated, as well as 3 large formats on dibond.
