Yury Revich is a violinist playing on a 1709 Stradivarius and an award-winning composer, but he is also an artist who is very committed to humanitarian causes and the environment. Honorary representative of UNICEF in Austria, he has been awarded the ECHO prize and the International Classical Music Award.
In his early years, Yury toured Carnegie Hall, La Scala and most of the world's major venues, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Tokyo Metropolitan and the Vienna Musikverein. Yury, an acclaimed and award-winning soloist, is also a recording artist for labels such as Sony, Classical and Naxos.
Working internationally, he is representing Austria at the World Expo in Dubai in 2021, where he is organising a special programme of music, arts and ballet. He has also been commissioned by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to create a piece bringing together 100 musicians from all over the world, playing together for the preservation of our planet. His work has met with great popular success: in September 2022, Yury Revich featured in the top 100 Billboard Classical chart and in the top 20 in the official German charts. He has also been approached by the film and television industries: at the beginning of 2023, he had just finished composing the music for the new film produced by Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning Oren Moverman.
In 2023, three tracks from his album devoted to the music of the Chevalier de Saint-Georges were included in the soundtrack to the Bridgerton series. Yury is also very active as a chamber musician, performing alongside artists such as Martha Argerich, Steven Isserlis and Daniil Trifonov. As a composer, in addition to his OLARIO project, his music has been commissioned and performed by orchestras such as the Munich Symphony, Berlin Symphony, Salzburg Symphony, London Firebird orchestra.
