Remember... On 20 June 2017 you discovered a preview of extracts from "The Modern Symphonic Album" by the composer Laurent Couson during the ITINERANCE exhibition at Place Saint Thomas d'Aquin in Paris. On that occasion, several hundred of you were spellbound by this new kind of music.
Many of you regularly ask us when and where you will be able to listen to the orchestral version of the pieces... It is now a wish that can come true because Laurent Couson, composer and conductor, brings to the stage of the Auditorium of the National Opera of Bordeaux, this transversal and offbeat experience. Based on the 15 tracks of his album "The Modern Symphonic Album" released in September 2017 by Universal Production Music, Laurent Couson brings together on stage the Bordeaux Aquitaine National Orchestra, the DJs Tom Fire and Charles Schillings, and the bassist Benoit Lugué. His musical compositions are set to electronic rhythms and sounds, and he has created a 3D mapping scenography and lighting.
Laurent Couson thus expresses his desire to meet classical groups, accompanied by DJs and their turntables; he wishes to bring a new public, not used to places identified as "classical music", to new forms inviting symphonic music and electronic music.
